Nim Matharu – Pastoral and Safeguarding Lead
I've been working in education since 2004, starting out as a Learning Mentor before moving into Family Support roles, and now, I’m proud to be in a Pastoral and Safeguarding role. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many children and families, and I’m passionate about making sure everyone gets the right support at the right time.
As a mum of three, I know first-hand that parenting is an amazing adventure—but let’s be honest, it comes with its challenges too! That’s why I truly understand the ups and downs families face and why I love being there to help if needed when things get tricky.
When I was at school, I struggled with confidence and self-belief, so I really get how tough it can be for some children. I believe school should be a place where every child feels safe, supported, and happy, and I’m always here to listen, encourage, and help however I can. My door is always open for a chat—whether it’s about worries, wins, or just to say hello!
