From Year 1 the children are expected to wear the following school uniform. School uniform is optional for children in the Foundation Stage as casual clothes are recommended for the activities in the setting. 

• Mid-grey plain trousers or shorts
• White shirt with school tie OR white polo shirt (with collar) with the official school sweatshirt or cardigan.
• Grey pinafore dress or skirt
• Pumps or a spare pair of shoes for indoor use
• White/grey/black tights, leggings or socks
• Hijabs must be teal, navy, black or grey. 

General

• Sweatshirts must bear the official school logo
• Earrings must be studs
• Nose studs are unacceptable
• Hair bands/braids, slides etc should be teal, grey, black, or white
• Large bows and hair accessories are not appropriate for school 
• Summer checked dresses may be worn from April-October but must be green.

Indoor PE Kit

• Plain navy or black shorts
• Plain white T-shirt.

Outdoor PE Kit

• Trainers and socks
• Plain white T-Shirt
• Plain navy or black jogging pants & sweat shirt/hoodie.

Book Bags

• Official Manor Wood book bags must be used - children do not need to bring pencil cases or other belongings to school. Storage for lunchboxes is provided in school.

Children wear PE kit to school on PE days. Limited storage space requires that a suitable small drawstring sports bag should be used by the children for their clubs kit/swimming kit.

Sports, games and swimming are part of the school curriculum and are National Curriculum requirements. We will assume that children who are attending school are fit for their PE lessons unless parent/carers tell us otherwise.

Polo shirts, cardigans and jumpers with the school logo are available for purchase from "Jo Brand" which is the school uniform shop in Meanwood. Unbranded products in the correct colours can be purchased at supermarkets including Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco.
